DURANGO, Colo. (AP) — The mother of a 13-year-old boy whose remains were found in southwestern Colorado is asking hunters in the area to be on the lookout for anything that could belong to her son.

The Durango Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1vejtef ) Elaine Redwine is asking hunters to be on alert for a black backpack, black shorts, black shirt, black Air Jordan shoes, a Duke Blue Devils baseball cap and a flip Verizon cellphone that may belong to Dylan Redwine and could provide clues about his disappearance.

Dylan lived north of Colorado Springs with his mother but went to his father’s home near Vallecito Lake for a court-ordered visit in November 2012. Mark Redwine has said he returned home from doing errands to find his son gone.

The boy’s remains were found in the area seven months later.
