Forecasters are calling for a chance of light snow in the mountains and the possibility of rain on the plains Monday in Colorado as a band a precipitation moves through the state.
The National Weather Service in Boulder says there is a chance of snow showers in Denver before 11 a.m. turning to rain the rest of the day.
The weather service is calling for a high of 53 degrees in the city.
“Scattered light snow showers in the mountains and on the plains east and south of Denver will end (Monday) morning,” the weather service said in a bulletin. “Only isolated showers are expected (Monday) afternoon and early evening.”
Forecasters are calling for a high of 65 and sunny skies in Denver for Tuesday.
The weather service says a chance of thunderstorms exists in the city in the evenings all week as temperatures stay in the 60s.
