Forecasters are calling for sunny skies and warm temperatures in Denver through mid-week before a storm threatening to drop snow across the Front Range moves in on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Boulder is calling for a high Monday of 68 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to top out at 74 degrees.

On Wednesday night, a storm capable of producing thunderstorms and dropping a rain and snow mix will move into the city, the weather service says.

Forecasters say the “spring storm” could bring precipitation through Sunday night.

The weather service’s Pueblo office says “severe thunderstorms (are) not out of the question” for southeast Colorado between Wednesday and Friday as the storm moves through.

The system could drop several inches of snow in the mountains, according to forecasters.
