Two teenage men have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 49-year-old taxi driver, according to a Denver district attorney’s news release Tuesday.
Dasean Perry, 19, and Nicholas McKinney, 18, have been charged with first-degree felony murder in the death of Darren Bloomquist.
Bloomquist, 49, was driving a taxi Sept. 5 when he was shot and killed.
The charges allege that Perry and McKinney were participating in an attempt to rob a taxi driver when Bloomquist was shot and killed around 4:30 in the morning.
McKinney, who was 17 at the time, is being charged as an adult.
Perry and McKinney remain in custody.
