AURORA — A man was killed and two women wounded early Friday in an Aurora parking lot shooting, police say.

At 2:07 a.m., police received a call about a shooting at 10395 E. Iliff Ave. near McDonough’s Bar . When they arrived, they found two woman with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Shortly after that, police learned that a wounded man had been driven to a local hospital and had died there.

“He arrived at the hospital minutes after the call came out,” Judy Lutkin, an Aurora police spokeswoman, said.

The man’s identity has not been released and Lutkin said no suspects have been identified.

“We haven’t gotten that far in the investigation yet,” she said.

The crime scene was spread out in a parking lot, where shell casings and clothing were strewn about.

A large pool of what appeared to be dried blood was in the middle of an area cordoned off by police.

Bakers at a nearby donut shop said they heard gunshots as they were prepping for the morning rush.

Officers on scene said a fight precipitated the shooting.

Police say their investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

No further information was immediately released.

Police asked anyone who might have witnessed or has information about homicide to call Agent Ingui with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at (303) 739-6067.
