Police are investigating after a man was wounded in a Denver shooting early Wednesday just south of downtown.
Police said the victim is expected to survive.
The shooting happened near the 1000 block of Acoma Street, just off Speer Boulevard, according to police a Tweet posted at about 5 a.m.
No suspect information was immediately available, police said.
Detectives were searching for evidence in an alley on the block and a nearby parking lot at about 6:30 a.m. Investigators cordoned off the area with yellow police tape.
Denver police said further information on the case was not immediately available.
