The body of a woman found in an Aurora condo Tuesday morning had been on a bloody kitchen floor since Saturday night, when she was fatally stabbed, according to court documents.

Charles Anthony III was inside the condo when police arrived Tuesday morning, led there by his father, Charles Anthony Jr., who was worried about his son, according to an arrest warrant.

Anthony III, 36, is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Jessica Lyn Reese.

Anthony III told investigators he was bipolar and schizophrenic, but he hadn’t taken medication for about 18 months and last saw a doctor about six months ago, according to the warrant.

After stabbing Reese on Saturday night, Anthony III told investigators, he left the condo “several times as it was too quiet inside the apartment.”

Reese and Anthony III were in an intimate relationship, according to the warrant.

The defendant told investigators he had been harboring “fantasies about hurting people” and it had “fell to the wayside.”
