Meteorologists are calling for more rain Thursday afternoon in Denver, though it’s expected to be much less severe than the end-of-day deluges the metro area saw earlier this week.

“We’ve got some showers moving in from the north,” Jim Kalina, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Boulder said. “The rain should be mostly light. We could see some isolated, brief heavy rain and maybe some small hail.”

Chances of rain are expected to decrease as the day continues on, especially after 5 p.m.

Temperatures Thursday are expected to top out at 74 and dipping into the low 50s tonight.
