Police are investigating after two people were shot outside a Federal Heights strip club early Wednesday morning.
Lt. Gary Toldness, a spokesman for Federal Heights police, said the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. in the southeast corner of the parking lot outside Platinum 84 Gentleman’s Club, 8485 Umatilla Street.
According to Toldness, two groups of men were leaving the strip club when there was a confrontation in the parking lot.
“When officers arrived on scene, there were two gunshot wound victims,” Toldness said.
One of the victims was shot in the chest, the other was shot in the leg, Toldness said.
Both victims were transported to Denver Health Medical Center.
Police are searching for three white men in their 20s who fled in a silver sedan. Toldness said they believe only one of the three men fired shots.
The man who was shot in the leg was expected to be released fromt he hospital on Wednesday, Toldness said. The condition of the man who was shot in the chest was not immediately known.
