A 13-year-old Pueblo boy who police believe was trying to steal marijuana plants from a backyard was rushed to a Denver hospital Saturday after he was shot with a pellet gun.
The shooting — which led to the arrest of a man — happened about 2:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Washington Street. Jason Lucero, 34, told police he shot the boy, who he thought was an intruder. Lucero was arrested. The boy is stable.
