Saturday. Last year’s Denver stop of New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat bike party raised more than $77,000 for area nonprofits. And last week’s Fort Collins installment attracted 25,000 people. But hardly anyone who participates in this touring parade and festival, with its panoply of colorful costumes and free entertainment, does it solely for that reason. This is Colorado, where biking and beer are reason enough to suit up on a summer weekend morning. This year’s Denver event again starts and ends in City Park, where — after the bike parade that winds through Park Hill streets — free live music from Ark Life, the Knew, the Handsome Little Devils and Lucius will be joined by circus sideshow acts, wacky contests, brewing education, food and beer. Registration starts at 10 a.m., with the parade at 11 a.m. Detroit Street and East 17th Avenue. newbelgiumbrewing.com. Free.
