Two people were shot and a possible suspect was detained but then released Thursday morning in Aurora.
The Aurora Police Department said the two shooting victims are expected to survive, according to Tweets on its official Twitter account.
The shooting happened near East 1st Avenue and Havana Street, Aurora police said in a tweet around 2 a.m.
Police said the victims were outside when they were shot, but it was still unclear what led to the shooting. Investigators were on scene Thursday morning interviewing witnesses.
A description of a possible suspect or suspects was not immediately available.
