DENVER (AP) — Admission to all Colorado state parks is free to celebrate the state’s 138th birthday.

All park entrance fees are being waived on Monday but activities like fishing and camping still require licenses or permits.

Colorado became the 38th state on Aug. 1, 1876. The first state park was created eighty years later.
