Fire crews are on the scene of a vehicle explosion in Northglenn on Wednesday morning that left a man injured, a North Metro Fire Rescue official said.
The explosion happened about 6:45 a.m. near Interstate 25 and 106th Avenue in a home’s driveway. Spokeswoman Sara Farris said a man there was headed to his vehicle when an external gas tank in the pickup truck he used for work exploded.
The truck was destroyed, Farris said.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to North Metro Fire Rescue.
Television helicopter images showed several other vehicles were also damaged in the blast.
