Denver police arrested a man Thursday in connection with his role in a traffic accident in Arvada that left a teenage girl dead.
David Kenneth Bunn, 44, was involved in a head-on collision on Sept. 26. According to Arvada Police, Bunn was driving south on Wadsworth Boulevard at a high rate of speed at about 7:30 p.m. when he veered across several lanes of traffic into a northbound lane, striking a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Lyndsey Petrie.
Petrie’s 17-year-old passenger, Lyneah Dike, was killed instantly. Petrie was taken to an area hospital for her injuries.
Bunn was also hospitalized for his injuries and arrested by Denver Police upon his release. He is charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, driving under the influence and reckless driving.
