Interview with Chris Holder, employee
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: One day I started volunteering and fell in love with everything — the people are fun, the animals are awesome.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We pride ourselves on having knowledgeable staff and having a great variety of animals in the store. We also try to keep everything our customers need in stock and then some. We always have high-quality feeders and a great selection of food sources for our customers’ pets. A warm welcome will always greet you at the door.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: What I like most about my job is showing people reptiles they don’t always get to see and informing them about the reptiles.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: The biggest challenge we have to face is keeping the store clean. Having so many animals can become challenging sometimes.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: Even though our name is Jurassic Pets, which leans more toward reptiles, we also carry a variety of other animals, which includes sugar gliders, chinchillas, hedgehogs and sometimes even kittens. We also have a large selection of tarantulas, fish, scorpions and other insects.
