A body found over the weekend in a car in northeast Denver has been identified.
The body of Philip J. Lucero, 48, was found about 3:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Bellaire Street, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Lucero was found dead at the scene.
The cause of death is a gunshot wound, the coroner’s office said, and the manner of death is a homicide.
The case remains under investigation. Police have not released any information on a possible suspect.
