Firefighters in Denver arriving at a blaze Wednesday night at a single-family home found a woman unconscious and seriously injured.
The fire happened about 9:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of South Tejon Street, officials said. The woman, the only person in the home when the fire began, received CPR at the scene before she was taken to a local hospital.
The woman’s condition and identity were not immediately available on Thursday morning.
“We still don’t have a cause just yet,” said Mark Watson, a spokesman.
The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage and is uninhabitable, Watson said.
