The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 25 near Johnstown late Monday that left two people dead and two others injured.

The patrol said the two killed in the crash were Mercedes Parker, 14, of Thornton, and the driver, Devin Gomez, 21, of Denver. Both Parker and Gomez were pronounced dead at the scene.

Parker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Aliana Guillory, 14, of Thornton, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was also ejected from the crash, was seriously injured in the crash. Melanie Landrum-Guillory, 42, of Thornton, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the highway and was reported by the patrol about 10 p.m.

Landrum-Guillory and Guillory were taken to Medical Center of the Rockies.

The patrol said Gomez was driving a Ford Explorer that was traveling southbound on the interstate when it veered into oncoming traffic, rotated and rolled into the northbound lanes.

A photo from the scene showed the Ford badly mangled, resting on the side of the roadway.

The state patrol has not said what caused the wreck. Alcohol and drugs are not being considered factors in the wreck.
