A man accused of taking video of women in tanning beds pleaded guilty in Jefferson County court to 20 counts of burglary and 20 counts of invasion of privacy.

Brandon Hansen, 36, of Lakewood, entered the plea on Thursday during what was set to be a motions hearing. The county district attorney’s office said each of the 20 counts represents each of Hansen’s victims.

Hansen was arrested last August on suspicion of breaking into tanning booths at a Lakewood tanning salon and secretly taking video of unclothed women while they were tanning.

The investigation began when, on July 28, Lakewood police were contacted by Denver police who said they found Hansen had numerous videos of unclothed female customers in tanning beds.

Court records say each of the women was in a private booth with the door closed when Hansen recorded them, the office said.

After his initial August arrest, the district attorney’s office continued their investigation and filed additional charges against Hansen last October in connection with similar criminal activity.

Hansen’s victims were believed to have included a 17-year-old girl.

Hansen is set to be sentenced on April 10.
