Through Monday. There are a a lot of outdoor fests this Labor Day weekend, a good deal for families with extra time together over the holiday. But we’ve seen the weather turn terrifically bad on this late side of August, so here’s a reminder of excellent indoor happenings. The Denver Art Museum has two special exhibits with all-ages appeal, Tom Wesselmann’s colorful, larger-than-life pop art pieces and Daniel Sprick’s amazing portraits. At the History Colorado Center, the surprisingly entertaining “Food: Our Global Kitchen” closes out its final weekend (a good match for “Taste of Colorado” nearby?) . For younger kids, don’t forget this summer’s new smash, the adventure-filled Discovery Zone, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
