Friday-Monday. Say what you want about the diversity, quality and value of the food at A Taste of Colorado, but the entertainment options are second to none for a free event. The KidZone play equipment, carnival rides (well, some of those cost money), arts and crafts, and live performances — including clowns, magic, dancing and storytelling — are enough to keep the little ones busy all day. There’s even a “Baby Oasis” with changing and feeding areas. The free live music from En Vogue, the Wallflowers, David Cook, the Commodores, Creedence Clearwater Revisited and theYawpers also helps wash down the local chow for the expected 500,000 attendees at this 31st annual event. 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Aug. 29, 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Aug. 30-31 and 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 1. Civic Center park. 303-295-6330 or atasteofcolorado.com.
