The Colorado Crossroads volleyball tournament resumes this weekend at the convention center downtown, with 739 high school-aged club teams (16s, 17s and 18s) set to compete in front of over 400 college coaches.

A premier national tournament, Colorado Crossroads began its 32nd year last week with competition for ages 11 through 15.

This weekend’s pool play for the older girls begins Friday morning and bracket play starts on Sunday, with championship matches to be held late Sunday morning.

The U.S. National Women’s Sitting Team will also be part of the tournament again, as the 2016 Paralympic gold medalists have eight exhibition games scheduled against Russia and Canada.

In addition to the three age groups across 101 courts, this weekend’s field is divided up into three divisions —  Open, USA and American — with Open featuring the highest level teams and players.

Out of the 1,466 total teams competing across the two-week tournament, 464 of those are from the Centennial State, including squads from top local programs such as Colorado Juniors and Colorado Momentum.
