Your editorial said the new federal GMO labeling law is a true compromise. In actuality it is a total sham sold to Congress to keep most consumers in the dark. The QR code is just a deceptive way of concealing the fact that certain foods contain GMOs. There’s no compromise here. The burden of written disclosure of GMOs in food is entirely on the producers, not on the consumers to inquire if corn, canola and soybean products contain GMOs that were developed to resist millions of pounds of herbicides dumped on these crops.
