Two people were shot in Lakewood, Thursday night as bail bondsmen attempted to serve a felony warrant.

The incident happened at about 10 p.m. at 2450 S. Hoyt Court said Ty Countryman, a Lakewood Police spokesperson.

Several bail bondsmen were serving a warrant on a resident of the home “when something went wrong,” Countryman said.

One bail bondsman was shot and the man who was the focus of the warrant was also shot, Countryman stated.

Both men are expected to survive the gunshot wounds. Police investigators were on the scene late Thursday night. More information is expected to be release on Friday morning.
