Happy birthday, Stephen Cardullo!
The Rockies’ rookie first baseman and outfielder celebrated his 29th birthday Wednesday in grand fashion. Literally.
Coming on as a pinch hitter in the first of a double-header against the Dodgers, Cardullo hit a home run in the Rockies’ 7-0 win. Then in the evening, he cranked a 421-foot shot in the bottom of the first inning to drive in Nolan Arenado, David Dahl and Gerardo Parra for a grand slam.
