An Embassy Suites guest was taken into custody early Saturday by Denver Police after a man refused to leave his room Friday afternoon.

Hotel personnel called the police about 4 p.m. Friday and reported that the man refused to leave his room. The hotel is at 7525 East Hampden Avenue.

Other guests were evacuated and police began talking to the man, who was connected to a domestic assault and stolen truck, said police spokesman Doug Schepman.

Police finally entered the room about 3:15 a.m. and took the man without injury, Schepman said.
