Denver police are investigating after two men have died in three apparently unrelated shootings during the weekend.
Two shootings happened early Sunday, while a third happened Saturday evening.
Police responding to a 5:40 a.m. report of a shooting found one man wounded in the 4700 block of North Ireland Court. The wounded man was taken to a hospital, said Doug Schepman, police spokesman. Police later announced the man had died.
Someone reported a second shooting in the 4700 block of North Gaylord Street at 6:27 a.m. The shootings “are unrelated as far as I can tell,” Schepman said.
Police are also investigating a shooting that wounded another man at about 7:17 p.m. Saturday, Schepman said. The incident happened in the 700 block of E. 20th Avenue. On Sunday, police tweeted that the wounded man had died. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
