The baseball hazing tradition of dressing up rookies continues as the Rockies had their first-year players adorn themselves in Broncos gear.
Rookie infielder Ryan McMahon posted a picture Wednesday on Instagram of the team’s rookies dressed up in orange and blue for a flight.
Major League Baseball last year banned dressing rookies “up as women or wearing costumes that may be offensive to individuals based on their race, sex, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender identify or other characteristic,” according to the Associated Press. However, costumes such as superheroes were deemed fine.
