A 27-year-old Iowa man has been identified as the victim in an early Monday shooting in Adams County.
Zackery Henderson, from Mason City, Iowa, was pronounced dead at Denver Health medical center, according to the county coroner.
Henderson was found fatally wounded at about 3 a.m. Monday on the 7100 block of Ruth Way — near the intersection of U.S. 36 and North Pecos Street — by deputies responding to reports of a disturbance.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says its detective division is investigating the case, which has been classified as a homicide investigation. Details in the case, including why Henderson was in Colorado, have not been released.
No arrests have been announced.
