A man and woman wanted in connection with a fatal south Texas shooting earlier this week have been arrested in Aurora.

Police say Christopher Stogsdill, 26, and 20-year-old Sierra Diaz were taken into custody Thursday on the 13300 block of East 23rd Avenue. They are accused in the death of Shelby Tronic, who was shot in the head on Tuesday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas says Stogsdill and Diaz had been living with Tronic, who was 22 years old.

With Stogsdill and Diaz were Diaz’s two infant children, who have been taken into protective custody in Aurora.

Stogsdill was wanted on suspicion of murder while Diaz was being sought for investigation of child endangerment because of the living conditions at the home where Tronic was killed.

It’s not clear why the two were in Colorado or if they had any connection to Aurora.
