Friday through the weekend should prove perfect weather for a national protest march — and just about any other outdoor activity in metro Denver.
The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts a high of 71 degrees Friday, although things could get windy. Forecasters expect winds that could gust up to 44 miles per hour in the metro area by afternoon.
The weather looks like it should cooperate Saturday when young folks and adults will take to downtown Denver streets for the national March For Our Lives school gun violence protest. Meteorologists predict a high of 70 degrees and sunshine with breezes that could gust up to 24 miles per hour as the day goes on.
Sunday should also be mostly sunny with a high of 69 degrees and calm winds throughout the day.
In the mountains, periods of snow showers and thunderstorms will grace the mountains on Friday through the afternoon with possible accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, the weather service said.
