Boulder-based TeamSnap on Wednesday announced it snapped up Seattle’s Korrio, its second acquisition since June.
The app developer, which became popular with parents and coaches keeping track of youth soccer games, said Korrio adds customers and cloud-based services to help TeamSnap organize sport events.
Terms weren’t disclosed. While both companies were founded in 2009, TeamSnap appears to be the much larger player in the youth sports arena. It has raised $47.3 million from investors, including the January round of $25 million that is being used to fund acquisitions. Korrio attracted $11.2 million from investors, according to TechCrunch.
A TeamSnap spokesperson said Korrio was one of the industry’s dominant players just four years ago.
Further details on Korrio were not available.
In June, TeamSnap acquired FanAppEvents, which included 15 employees that stayed put at their Jefferson City, Missouri, offices. With the Korrio acquisition, TeamSnap employs 150 people, according to the company.
Update at 4:02 p.m.: TeamSnap updates the current number of employees.
