Party buzz

Since 1965, Denver’s very own Boyer’s Coffee has been roasting coffee beans from around the world. The company is celebrating 52 years of serving the community by hosting a Free Coffee Party on Sept. 29 — also National Coffee Day, by no coincidence. The open block-style party runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boyer’s Coffee Caf– front parking lot (7295 Washington St.) in Denver. Caffeine fiends will revel in free drip coffee all day, 50 percent off specialty beverages, 25 percent off bags of freshly roasted coffee beans, breakfast and lunch from food trucks, giveaways, live music and more. boyerscoffee.com

Corn crops

Sonic Drive-In is marking the start of fall by offering corn dogs for 50 cents each on Sept. 27. (Any add-ons are extra.) There’s no limit, so every in your group can bite into a cheap dog (or two) without breaking the bank. Remember, the fast-food chain also offers a daily Happy Hour from 2 to 4 p.m. with 50 percent off drinks and slushes. Combine the offers for an inexpensive afternoon treat. sonicdrivein.com

Tinseltown Tuesdays

Being an AMC Theatre’s Stubs Insider really pays off for movie buffs. Every Tuesday, through Oct. 31, the theater chain offers members $5 Ticket Tuesdays — get a ticket for just $5. (There is an upcharge for premium formats and special events.) Even better, members also get a concession combo for $5 on Tuesdays — coupons at amctheatres.com/ticket-tuesday. The combo includes a 21-ounce fountain drink and snack-size popcorn. It’s not often you can get a ticket, popcorn and soda all for $10, so the typically uncrowded Tuesday is the perfect day to catch the latest blockbuster. Stubs Insider membership is free with the basic loyalty program. amctheatres.com/ticket-tuesday

Snack time

Arby’s is the go-to place for roast beef sandwich aficionados. Right now, the chain has an incentive for hungry bargain hunters to stop by for a late-afternoon snack. From 2 to 5 p.m. daily, there’s a dollar menu. Choose any slider, cookie, small fries, small shake or small drink for just $1. If you go the day after the Denver Broncos score two touchdowns in a regular season game, you can also snag a Classic Roast Beef Sandwich for $1. Combine the offers for a cheap lunch or dinner. A sandwich, fries, drink and cookie will cost you $4. arbys.com

Farm friendly

With fall officially here, we’re reminded that the Front Range is farm country, with an abundance of corn mazes and pumpkin patches just waiting to be explored. One of the most budget-friendly is Cottonwood Farms (1535 75th St., Boulder). The entire family can wander the two-acre corn maze and kid-size straw-bale maze, meet farm animals including chickens, goats and donkey, and check out farm equipment. Everything is free except any pumpkins you want to take home. Hay rides on Saturday and Sunday cost $3. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. cottonwoodfarms.com
