Three days after designating reliever Esmil Rogers for assignment in the minor-leagues, the Rockies on Tuesday traded the right-hander to the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations.

In 23 games for the Rockies this seson, Rogers went 0-2 with an 8.06 ERA. He lost his roster spot when Jeff Francis was activated over the weekend.

In 70 career games as both a starter and reliever, Rogers is 8-11 with a 6.77 ERA.

This move leaves the Rockies with 39 players on their 40-man roster.
