A man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy after luring the teen from a local soccer league has been formally charged, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Andres Fuerte Gaspar, 50, was arrested on suspicion of child enticement and sexual assault on a child. Both are felonies. Gaspar posted $50,000 bond and was released.

According to an affidavit first obtained by 7News, Gaspar is listed as the “registered agent” for Universal Soccer League in Denver and is described as the league president.

Gaspar met the victim at a soccer practice and offered him a job cleaning soccer fields, “but later took the victim to his apartment where the assault is alleged to have occurred,” the office said.

The assault allegedly occurred Aug. 17.

In the apartment, the affidavit said, Gaspar told the boy that they were going to play poker. He allegedly told the child that “if he won he would get $10, but if he lost than he, the suspect, would get to touch him for a minute.”

The District Attorney’s Office warned that that “investigators believe there may be additional victims.”

“Anyone with information should contact the Denver Police Department.”

Gaspar is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.
