Here’s a pleasant way to spend a weekend afternoon: a stroll along Littleton’s Main Street, then a sip and nibble on the shady patio at Delizios, located on the east end of the Main Street strip.

A pleasant and not-overwhelming wine list is the star of the show here; more than 20 are available by the glass. Pick one, or two, and augment with a shared antipasto plate, bowl of mussels or flatbread. (Still hungry? Pick a salad or sandwich and make a meal of it — vegetarian lasagna, lobster ravioli, and polenta with chorizo are three appealing choices.)

Service is friendly and efficient here — you’ll be served promptly, but you won’t be rushed out the door.

Delizios also offers grab-and-go service, mostly coffees and sweets. Commuters would be smart to stop in on the way to the light rail.

Score a scoop of gelato on the way out the door — it’s a hot trip home.
