BILLERICA — A man was struck and killed on the railroad tracks near the Pond Street bridge this morning, MBTA Transit Police said.
In a statement, police said they received a call about 7:25 a.m. The statement said the man was trespassing on the right of way on the New Hampshire/Maine Line and was struck by an outbound train from Lowell. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not identified.
Transit Police detectives are investigating. Police said foul play is not suspected.
