Last spring I had the opportunity to photograph Mabel Nesmith. She was celebrating her 110th birthday. She is the oldest person that I have ever taken a portrait of. That was an amazing experience.
I also spent several nights in the small Colorado mountain towns of Westcliffe and Silver Cliff. The International Dark-Sky Association awarded both communities a special recognition. The Dark Skies of Wet Mountain Valley organization is dedicated to reducing light pollution and promoting stargazing.
Telling those two stories were some of my most memorable Colorado experiences.
