The south security checkpoint at Denver International Airport was briefly closed Sunday night while TSA officials investigated a package they deemed “suspicious,” an airport spokeswoman said in an email.

Alex Renteria, a DIA spokeswoman, said passengers were moved to the north checkpoint around 6:40 p.m. while TSA investigated.

Renteria said operations returned to normal when the item was cleared around 6:50 p.m.
