Lindsey Vonn and P.K. Subban are going to tie the knot — at some point.
The Olympic gold medalist skier and New Jersey Devils defenseman announced their engagement to Vogue in an article published Friday morning.
According to the Vogue piece, the two met a couple of years ago at the taping of a Nickelodeon sports show filmed after the ESPYs. With the help of little sis, Karin, Vonn and Suban hit it off — although Vonn was still dating someone else at the time. After she became single months later, Subban made his move and the two have been dating ever since.
“Right off the bat, I knew he was different,” Vonn told Vogue. “But I’d been married before, so I was pretty hesitant to let myself think that I could find someone that I would want to be married to again. After a few months of dating, I knew he was the one I wanted to be with, though. He makes me happy, and he’s so positive and energetic.”
Subban told Vogue he popped the question Aug. 14 at their Los Angeles home. But the two have yet to set a wedding date — “We’re not in a big hurry to get married,” Vonn said.
