When Denver-based chain Smashburger opens its newest location in the Mile High City, it will offer something new: cocktails.

While most locations across the U.S. sell beer in cans and bottles, the newest restaurant at 200 Quebec St. in Lowry Town Center will be the first in the nation to boast a full bar, according to a Wednesday press release. That includes beer served on draft and a signature mixed drink called the Blueberry Smash, which is a blend of Jim Beam whiskey, blackberry puree, lemon sour, mint leaves and angostura bitters.

The new Smashburger, Colorado’s 24th, opens Friday and will host a celebration on April 2 with a $10 burger-and-beer special from 4 to 6 p.m.

“This new Smashburger concept sets itself apart from our traditional locations with an elevated dining experience and we are thrilled to bring our first full bar restaurant to our hometown in Denver,” said Carl Bachmann, president of Smashburger, in a statement.

According to a spokesperson, the brand expects other new locations to include a full bar, too. The next one will open in New York City.

Smashburger opens March 25 at 200 Quebec St in Denver. Hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
